With a background in a major quarry restoration project in the UK and the development of a sister project to develop a scale industrial hemp business, the team have considerable knowledge and experience of regenerative agriculture projects, the development of sustainable building materials products and materials, and highly developed knowledge of the carbon removal credit market.
Carbon Organix was founded based on analysis and research establishing the powerful carbon removal credentials of biochar manufacture.
Our mission is to make a significant contribution to fighting climate breakdown by removing/sequestering industrial quantities of carbon dioxide.
Our vision is that this will be achieved by Carbon Organix becoming the leading natural carbon removal business in the UK/Europe and a top tier operator in the USA by manufacturing industrial quantities of biochar and achieving carbon lock-up by selling product to the agricultural and building materials sectors.
There are many ‘cottage industry’ style biochar businesses beginning to emerge. Carbon Organix is not in that category, prioritising access to finance and developing partnerships with pyrolysis equipment manufacturers, to achieve scale production and focusing on building high growth businesses in both the UK and USA.
In addition to our ‘lived experience’ of restoration and sustainability projects the team members offer a unique combination of food supply chain management and logistics (enabling the sourcing of high quality feedstock for the biochar process), a rare ability to bridge the communication gap between the worlds of finance and agriculture, highly developed and high level, relevant connections in business (in the UK and USA), and a can-do culture developed through very successful careers where only results matter.
